In case you need a laugh, there's the Norman Rockwell Code

While there were Christians terrorfied by The DaVinci Code I was poking around Al Gore's wonderful invention, being a Norman Rockwell fan. I found a Trailer for the Norman Rockwell Code, but for those of you who have thirty minutes that you want to spend there's the film.

I would at least watch the trailer. But the film is worth the 30 minutes to if you are a Andy Griffth Show fan just for the different connections that they draw.

4 SCOTUS Members should be tried for treason

Thursday the Supreme Court released a decision that is nonsense. The monsters aren't wearing uniforms, as prescribed by the Geneva convention. The monsters don't treat our uniformed soldiers accordingly, they chop their heads off.

In no time during any war have we given any special quarter to POW's that weren't uniformed. They were held until after the war was over, unless there was a prisoner exchange. In spite of the fact we have released hundreds of prisoners after we got all the information we could get from them, the ONLY way the monsters release the prisoners they capture is without a head.

According to Geneva we could just summarily execute these monsters but we don't. What blows my mind is the fact that these people HATE us with such intensity that they are willing to kill themselves to kill innocent women and children and we are supposed to give them a trial, but now we can't because SCOTUS says the President can't do what Lincoln and FDR had previously had done.

Now since these monsters don't wear a uniform it bears the question are the Marines that are accused of a massacre at Haditha, accidentally think that the people were that killed were combatants because they are dressed like Zarquawi or Bin Ladin. (There are several things that could have happened including the fact the Marines are innocent). Doesn't that automatically mean the Marines should be released.

SCOTUS usurped Executive Power by telling the President how to run the war.

It begs the question when was the last time that the Supreme Court has read the constitution. It's obvious that Justice Stevens has never if he believes that international law supersedes the US Constitution. This alone screams the fact he should be tried for treason.

And People are worried about the NSA

Google is an business entity I can't figure out. They won't help our government track child molesters, but have no problem helping the Chinese track down political dissidents.

The New Times is reporting that Google is wanting to keep track of your credit card info where you live. Now they can be trusted with this information, but the government can't be trusted with terrorist banking information or phone calls?

Where are the privacy experts that were complaining about how we are tracking the monsters? Why aren't they crying foul to this. While there really is no privacy in this country since the advent of internet usage I have a hard fast rule when ANYONE says "trust me' that I run in the opposite direction.

We have to protect the children

The USA Today reported that schools are starting to ban games during recess that involve physical contact because they don't want children to get hurt.

Here's the problem: Kids get hurt, it's a part of life. Every scar I have I learned a lesson from. Every bruise, every terse word, made me tougher more able to handle the world. If you coddle children they will grow up to be worthless adults like the vast amount of the baby boomers are.

Another reason we need to end public education.

After a busting of a home grown terrorist cell, one might ask themselves What would President Roosevelt Do? The time might come in the near future where we are going to have to decide what we should do about the muslims in this nation, at least in a time of war. I hope we don't miss a cell and wish we would have talked about it before hand.

While the Commies want to run from Iraq they...

Mayor Ray Nagin has said that their Police Department needs help inspite having close to the same size Prior to Katrina. So Governor Blanco has sent in the National Guard to help patrol a city that is half as full prior to the hurricane.

Now the marxists in congress wants us to cut and run, leaving a vacuum in Iraq, but want a police state in NOLA. So it's ok that Iraq has monsters running free, but not in New Orleans. We can't "occupy" Iraq but need to have an American city be an armed camp.

To quote Laugh-In's funny German Soldier, "Interesting, Very interesting, but stupid!"

My Heroes have always been cowboys, almost.

Being a hick raised by an old Montana woman that has a respect for history and stopping at Big Hole Battlefield where chief Joseph fought a holding action again the the US Army while a good chunk of his people made a dash across the Canadian border, and trying on my Grandpa's chaps (pronounce shaps for those of you in California) tend to influence a young kid falling into a western heritage and living by that code set forth by those who turned the Dakota's into a "civilized" land.

But this is just apart of the influences on my life.

The other major influence was a PK like me and a Pastor like his dad. My dad was born in Kansas and moved around the country a little because of Grandpa being a Pastor. Dad took enough to be a dad to me and my beloved sister. We as a family had made several trips to the Minnesota Twins and was something we enjoyed as a family infact I have a picture that dad took of him and I on the Jumbotron. Dad and would shoot hoops and play catch while listening to the Twins. I miss the Theological and Political discussions we would have over Sunday dinner or in his study.

I guess this was just a round about way of honoring my dad and grandpa, and by doing it after father's day (up to this year I've just ignored it) I guess it gives me some wiggle room as not to have one day as to contain my thoughts of my family.

I'm going to use a liberal arguement when it comes to Iraq

The Terrorists mutaltated the bodies of the two soldiers. Since they are horrible people the Terrorists need to pull out before they do something worse and ruin their image to the world.

All have needed to know in life, I learned in Westerns

While the basis of the code I live by is from an a Montana woman and A Pastor, the sum of the knowledge can all be traced back through Westerns.

  1. A long Time ago, I made myself a rule to let others do what the think is best. Hondo

  2. Welfare makes men like widows and children. McClintock

  3. The English language is a backwards language. Hondo

  4. When you need to fight keep fighting until the reason for fighting has ended. Magnificent 7

  5. Getting lied to sticks in my craw. Hondo

  6. Just because you want peace doesn't mean that the bad guy will leave you alone. Open Range

  7. The desire for revenge and justice can be razor thin, but revenge will destroy you. Bravados and Hang 'em High

  8. God and the love of a good woman can change a man. Angel and the Badman

  9. No matter what the odds, there is always someone who will stand up for what is right. 3:10 to Yuma (also my favorite western)

  10. There are things worth putting your life on the line for. Justice and the rule of law being some of the most important. 3:10 to Yuma, Lone Ranger television program

  11. Death is a fact of life Lonesome Dove. "Everybody gets dead" John Wayne in Hondo.

  12. "I will not be wronged, will not be lied to, and will not have a hand laid on me. I don't do these things and I expect that from others." The Shootist

  13. Free market economics in McClintock

  14. The only way evil triuphs is good men do nothing (Yes, it's an Edmund Burke quote but it runs through most westerns because of the code we live with). The Quick and the Dead

  15. Even if you don't want trouble it has a way of finding you. Tombstone

  16. There are people that know better than I do. Hondo

  17. My perspective of life isn't always right. Dances with Wolves Geronimo

  18. You get old by staying alive. Once Upon a Texas Train

These are a few things I live by. Not because they were in a movie but because my folks instilled the idea that we are to look out for the weaker ones of us. Some of it I learned having to beat up bullies in school. Some God is trying to teach me.

Almost a Year

September I received my Concealed weapons permit. I have learned something very interesting and completely unexpected. I'm more patient and kinder since I have been carrying. I never thought that would occur. I've never drawn on any body, never even pulled my weapon ( came close the other night when my neighbor pushed my door open at 10 PM I went to a reddish-orange awful quick when he did that).

I haven't had any intent on doing anything of the sort when I bought my first firearm three years ago, and I think that the fact that I am nicer and long ( well at least longer) suffering is the fact that if I do something stupid that I reflect badly on every legal gun owner in this country. Seeing how wusses see those of us who refuse to be victims, the last thing I would want to do is hurt someone elses rights. Again, I had self-control before but I see less of a need to prove anything to anyone.

And in all honesty, the whole turn the other cheek thing makes more sense now than ever before. But this doesn't mean if my life or my family's lives are in trouble I would run away.

So if we make monsters run around naked..

For months the marxists ran down the military for the Abu Grahib scandal telling us how horrible of a people we are. Now if we are horrible where it the media on how the monsters really treat people. It's quieter than a night without crickets.

The Best hope for the Dem's in 2008 for the Presidency

It is still a long time until the presidential Election, but Governor Richardson from New Mexico has been mentioned numerous times. While we all hear the usual suspects, Governor Richardson could actually be troublesome to the Republicans because he has taken a strong stance on immigration and has an aire of respectability that Kerry and Gore could only dream of.

While Hillary wants it she is going to get torpedoed by the Democratic Party. The far far left field tin foil wearing marxists won't back her.

But the more I read on Richardson the more he could peel off some Republicans.

Well, 2008 should be interesting.

Just when You wish there was a Republican with Guts...

You need to check out Vernon Robinsons website. He hits all the topics us conservatives care about. And it's really funny.

Quauterbacks that don't use helmets.

I'm not a Steelers fan in the least, but the media is all over Ben Rothlesberger (sorry Fetz never could spell) for no reason. The law in Pennsylvania says it's optional to wear a helmet.

I don't own a cycle, but I doubt I would wear a helmet. First of all those who don't ride don't get the concept of the feeling of freedom a person gets. A helmet arrests that feeling. Helmet laws and seat belt laws restrict personal choice, even if that person dies. It never ceased to amaze me the people that pushed so hard for seatbelt laws in this state are the same people that push for abortion saying keep the government out of bed rooms, but that's another story.

Before you condemn somebody for making a legal choice, a choice that's about privacy. At least be consistent. Just let people live their lives.

Bail for Terrorists!?

Fox News this morning reported that the terrorists they captured are supposed to have a bail hearing today. Ah heck why not just release all there criminals.

And liberal Canadians wonder why we have gun ownership down here?

Soccer and why the average American doesn't care

A couple of years ago there was a huge push to get Americans interested in soccer, the MSM tried to shame us into liking it because of the rest of the world does. When I was in college my University didn't have the guts to have a football team so homecoming revolved around soccer. So my freshmen year I tried soccer, it lasted about ten minutes. While I agree soccer players are athletes the problem with soccer is the field is just way to big for action to be exciting for us Americans.

I was on a website last week that asked why Americans don't like soccer. I narrowed it down to two things: The boring factor (or the field size) and the fact as Americans we are nonconformists. We by our nature do things our way, maybe that's why the marxists of this world hate us, maybe that's why the RINOs look down on us conservatives, but that's another story for another time.

While I can respect those that are excited about the World Cup, and I hope the US wins, I just don't have the time to expend on it, and I'm to much of a non-conformists expend with the World Cup. I have never been one to have something shoved on me because someone thought it was "good for me."

The bottom line if they really want Americans to care about soccer don't force us to like it, and make the field smaller.

Separation of Church and State, according to TJ

Where the term Separation of Church and State came from, not from where the marxists says it came from:

Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptists
The Final Letter, as Sent
To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.
The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.
Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.
I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem.
Th JeffersonJan. 1. 1802.

Man Arrested for Plotting Attack on Abortion Clinic
Thursday, June 08, 2006
RIVERDALE, Md. — A man was arrested Thursday and charged with making a bomb that he planned to use to attack an
abortion clinic, a device that went off in the home of a friend while authorities were trying to disable it.
Robert F. Weiler Jr., 25, of Forestville, was arrested more than 140 miles away at a Garrett County rest stop on Interstate 68 around 12:30 a.m. after he called agents from the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to surrender. He told authorities that he made the bomb and had a gun he planned to use in the attack, according to court documents.
The device, a pipe bomb filled with nails which was stored in a closet at the friend's home in Riverdale, exploded several hours later as a bomb technician tried to defuse it. No one was injured, but the house was set on fire.
Weiler was charged in U.S. District Court on four counts that included making a destructive device and possessing an illegal handgun. He was being held Thursday afternoon at the Garrett County Detention Center.
Phone messages left at Weiler's home were not returned.
According to an ATF affidavit, Weiler planned to use the weapons to attack an abortion clinic in Greenbelt. He told authorities that he would use a .40-caliber handgun he stole from a friend to "shoot doctors who provided abortions" the affidavit states.
A woman who answered the phone at the clinic said they had not heard of the threat.
Weiler had earlier stolen money from his parents and told friends that he had a gun and bomb for his attack, according to the affidavit. On Wednesday night, some of those friends revealed his plans to the ATF and Prince George's County police.
After Weiler called the ATF later that night, Maryland state troopers arrested him without incident. In his car was the handgun and a magazine with ammunition.
While being questioned by troopers and the ATF, Weiler said he had built a pipe bomb and placed it in the closet of the Riverdale house. The device was made of a pipe, black powder, nails and seven feet of fuse.
The bomb exploded as fire officials tried to disable it around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, and set fire to the top floor of the home. Damage was set at $20,000.
Police also discovered Weiler was convicted in 2003 in Utah for obstructing police, according to the affidavit. It is unclear what his punishment was for that conviction.
Weiler was charged Thursday with possessing an illegal explosive device, making an illegal explosive device, illegally possessing a firearm with a prior felony conviction and possessing a stolen firearm. He is expected to appear in federal court Friday.
While I oppose abortion whole heartedly I wouldn't kill to stop one either. There are legal recourses to the act. I AM glad that he was stopped. There is no reason to kill misguided people or desperate people. It does nothing but bring further disdain our cause. Driving a wedge in between people needing help and those who could really help. One of the major reasons my protest to abortion stops a writing letters and making phone calls is because abortion is just a symptom of a bigger problem and for the most part the church isn't addressing it. The problem is the hole that was left when the church disengaged society. Instead of organizing protests why doesn't the church help organize a place for unwed women to stay if they need somewhere to stay. While we have no lack of spirituality in this country as of late we have had a lack of Christianity. Meaning we need to meet those who are in trouble where they are at and minister to their spirit rather than throwing stones (or bombs).
I guess we will always have the "John Brown Syndrome" in society. But that doesn't mean it should run rampet and that it shouldn't be stopped before people get hurt.

Naughty evil Evengelical Christians should be ashamed

Click title
This bad evil Evengellical Christians have the audacity to mention God so the commies give a movie with Christian ideals a PG instead of a G rating.

Just a reminder to those Christians that aren't taking a stance in life, Get in the game we are at war.

I wonder if Our Congressmen have ever held a copy of the Constitution

My concerns over the lack of knowledge of the constitutions isn't unfortunately limited to the Democratic party or even congress (The Supreme Court's history since the Bible was removed from the classroom).
But after Denny Hasteret rushing to the aid of William Jefferson a couple weeks go has made me more concerned with the lack of knowledge.

First, there is a bill in the Senate that would allow those of us who have concealed permits carry even in state's that don't allow carrying. While on it's face there is a part of me that would like to have the opportunity to protect myself when I go to my grandparents through the "land of Lincoln" the fact remains the Second Amendment prohibits any Federal Gun laws and turns it over to the States to legislate.

Second, The Gay Marriage Amendment. While the activist judges have tried to force gay marriage on us and because of the Full Faith clause one gay marriage having to be honored in another. While laws are statement of morality, marriage is between God, man, and a woman. Not government, man and a woman, donkey, women, or another man. I have thought that since a marriage license is nothing more than a tax what would happen if we would do away with any preference by the government. Meaning no marriage penalty and no tax breaks. Personally, if a gay couple want a commitment ceremony that's fine with me, I just won't sanction it and I won't sacrifice my principles just to make someone feel normal.

Third, the Flag burning Amendment. I can buy the idea that it is a form of protest, but the government should give the right (even if it includes the right to use firearms to protect the flag) to private citizens the right to protect the flag that the potheads are going to light up. I don't know if it reaches the level of an Amendment. I would do anything to keep the honor of those who laid their lives on line. Although, those that would destroy the symbol of our country would best served just to leave and maybe we as a people we should be willing to precipitate it. The idea that some commie or criminal burning an American Flag on our soil is distasteful, but it's not easy trying to be consistent.

Fourth, Cynthia McKinney, Ted Kennedy, William Jefferson, Robert Kennedy, and ALL those in Congress that think they are above the law. Democrats call us a democracy (we are a Federal Republic but that's another post). In a democracy EVERYONE is equal under the law...INCLUDING Congress. It's no wonder why they can support the criminals not having to be expelled if they don't believe in obeying the law, then potential voters shouldn't have to obey the law either.

The time has come that the next filibuster in the Senate should include the reading of the Constitution, even if we have to tie down all the Senators and make them read along.

Monday, June 05, 2006

We sure need some more Mr. Smiths

Sunday I was watching Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. The Fillibuster scene was interesting because he read into the congressional record the Founding documents (something our current congress needs to re-read). I was reminded of the first trip I made to DC with Fetz, Kuiper, Premont Boys, and Cj. How full idealism and how we could feel the power in the city. We didn't get to see many sites but I was reminded of all our forefathers had done to give us the chance at freedom, the right of self-determination.

Most countries never allow their citizenry the opportunity form their own destiny. The chance for everyone of us to challenge our leaders in what they do. Some abuse this right but we still have it. China had extra troops in Tianamin Square in case some "freedom radicals" had a wild idea about protesting.

We have the right to vote. A good chunk of the countries that vote are show elections, or there are thugs that control how their citizens vote.

We have a right to our faith. In spite of some marxists, anti-God people, and some self-proclaimed atheists we can still worship Our God as Christians. In fact the last few years Christians actually have found their political voice again.

Why is this important? Because inspite of all that is wrong with this country we still have the most rights, the most opportunity of any nation on the face of this earth. And this makes us better than any other nation on the face of the Earth and I resent the implications that we need to kowtow to peoples that don't have the guts or the moral superioty to take care of the worlds problems without the US stepping in. I resent that these tinhorns think they can dictate how we live, We are Americans. No matter what color of hide an American has we are Americans and we are superior to the rest of the world because we clean up messes that no other country has the stomach to touch.

If we Really want Socialized medicine this is what we will get

Click Title

Those that propose we have a nationalized healthcare system needs to have their medical problems taken care of by the Veterans Administration for at least six months. It has been reported that some equipment isn't sterile and may be carrying a virus.

While we owe it to those who put their lives on the line for this country to provide them with health care I guess congress just doesn't think that quality health care is worth paying for.

Since this is the closest we have to socialized medicine in this country and this is what socialized medicine would devolve into because when government is involved money has a way of disappearing we would get the cheapest health care money can buy. Remember China has socialized medicine and they also control the number of children a person can have. I have heard reports that Canada is seeing private clinics starting up because no one wants to wait for poor quality of care.

Just something to think of

Hawaiian Independence, The Other Nations, and the Ancient Rite of War

Click Title

There is a bill in the Senate to recognize a new tribe. It will give them special protections, tax breaks, and setting aside a group that really has never existed.

Why should you care? Well by the provisions of this bill requiring only about a drop of Hawaiian blood to be eligible. The legitimate Nations seeing this would demand the equal treatment under the law, thus swelling the people owed annuities. Annuities that are guaranteed to the Nations through treaties.

What the bottom line is we would have to raise taxes to provide for this harebrained scheme.

When Liberals run wild, the buffalo can't

I reported earlier ( )about Deadwood planning a Bison run to promote the growing Buffalo Ranches and Deadwood of course have decided against it due to animal rights activists and law suits.

To bad, it would have been great publicity for the town and for South Dakota. Time to put liberals in their place.

The Spirit of America lives on in States Dominated by marxists

Click Title
It's great to see that even in the marxist nanny states there is an uprising aganist the government making children out of adults. I will admit I enjoy a cigar whenever us guys go shooting or play poker, but I don't suggest people smoke. It is a legal substance. According to the Roe v. Wade people have the right to choose how they live and government has no right to tell owners how to run their private business.
Down with the commies,
up with LIBERTY!
